The 12th is a 'sleeper' hole which has gradually got more and more difficult over the years. From its full length for the men a drive through a shute with fade is required to avoid the large gums on the right and going through the fairway on the left.
A long hybrid second shot is needed to a landing area protected by trees on the right and left and a bunker short and left of the green. However this is a definite birdie hole for longer hitters who can reach the green. Many members believe this is the best green on the course with dips and contours leading to some tricky putts.
