Local Rules
(To be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf and any Temporary Local Rules displayed at the Pro shop or listed on the Miscore App.)
1. OUT OF BOUNDS
a. Beyond any fence and / or white stakes with black tops bounding the course.
b. The Clubhouse and Pro shop and its immediate surrounds indicated by white stakes with black tops or markings on concrete pavements with white and black dots.
c. The Carpark and adjoining short range practice area when playing the 9th hole.
d. Whilst playing the 17th hole, all areas to the right of the hole defined by the road and its kerb extending from the teeing ground to the Clubhouse and its surrounds.
Rule 18 applies.
2. PENALTY AREAS
a. Defined by red lines or stakes. All bridges (and pavement) are part of the Penalty Area other than the main road bridge adjacent the 11th Green.
b. Any stakes indicating the Penalty Area are Immovable Obstructions.
Rule 17 applies.
3. STAKED TREES
a. In the General Area, if a staked tree interferes with a player’s stance or the area of their intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in RULE 16.1b. The ball may be cleaned when lifted, without penalty.

4. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS / IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
a. Bridges, sand boxes, rubbish bins, ball washers, seats, course / advertising signage, fairway distance markers, sprinkler heads, irrigation valve boxes, drainage grates, exposed drainage pipes, drinking fountains, all stakes, ropes, light poles, power poles, protective netting fences, toilet block are all deemed as Immovable Obstructions.
b. Any part of the General Area defined by white lines or broken white lines defines Ground Under Repair (GUR). Relief MAY be taken.
c. Any constructed / artificial surfaced roads and paths. Relief MAY be taken. All other paths are integral parts of the course.
d. Any damaged turf areas on closely mown areas only (fairway height or less) including bare areas larger than 30cm in diameter.
e. Any exposed tree roots in closely mown areas (fairway height or less).
f. Path adjoining 15th green, if a ball comes to rest on the concrete path at the boundary fence area, free relief may be taken under Rule 16.1 or additionally relief MAY be obtained by dropping at the nearest drop zone identified by a blue stake in accordance with Rule 14.3.
g. The garden hedge to the rear of the 9thgreen, if a ball comes to rest in the garden hedge, free relief may be obtained under Rule 16.1 to the nearest relief area (drop zone) identified by a blue stake located at either side of the green surrounds.
h. In the General Area, if a sprinkler head is located within 2 club lengths of a putting green and a player’s ball is within 2 club lengths of that sprinkler head and the sprinkler head lies between the ball and the intended line of play to the hole, relief May be obtained at the nearest point of no interference no nearer to the hole.

5. NO PLAY ZONES
a. Identified by white posts with blue tops and include those areas surrounding the Greenkeepers sheds and equipment bound by the 8th and 10th holes, and the irrigation pump shed and storage tank adjacent the 1st hole.

6. TELEGRAPH POLES AND POWER LINES
a. If a ball hits and is deflected by any telegraph pole, wires or support structure MUST be replayed without penalty. Players must be virtually certain that the ball in motion contacts this infrastructure prior to cancelling the stroke.

7. TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES
a. Refer to notice board at front of pro shop for any Temporary Rules applicable to changed course conditions.
